Dear users of the PHPcityportal script,

As an earlier thread suggested, PHPcityportal.com now has new owners. We are sorry that this introduction has not been done earlier, but it's just been a few days since the formal takeover, and we have been busy getting on top of everything since then.

I say we, since we are two guys: Martin Nordal (myself) and Martin Brock. We have been in the online business for some years now, and are currently also involved in having another CMS script of our own developed. We feel quite lucky to take over PHPcityportal as we believe city portals are generally a great concept and Michael has done a very good job developing this script. This of course obligates us to carry this on in a good and respectful manner, and we intend to do so. We have many good ideas with this script and we see from the forums and the users we have been in contact with, that you also have very valuable inputs to the further development of the software. We would love to hear more ideas and in order to include some of them in the next upgrades.

Since we have just taken over the business, we also need to get into the game, and fortunately Michael has volunteered to help us through the process and thus assist and support for some weeks to come. We do however ask you to bear over with us for the first days since the support issues might have to travel a few more hops than normally.

We're looking forward to getting involved and taking this script to the next level. See you around in the forums!

Martin Nordal & Martin Brock

Hello new owners, I hope to see you on the forums regularly and offer the tremendous support Michael gave.

Hopefully Michael has mentioned the bugs in the software I had emailed him.

Some of the bugs are very important to fix as some parts of the script are not operating correctly.

Congrats on your purchase, it is a great script!

As for the support we will certainly do our best. It is also the aim to improve areas that will make the need for support less, i.e. getting rid of support and improving manuals for example.

As for the bugs you mention, I don't know if I have the exact ones you emailed to Michael. Could you do me a favor and email them to me, just to make sure I have them all? (support@phpcityportal.com). If you don't have the email any more I will get it from Michael.
And thanks a lot for collecting the list, that is a great help for us in getting them fixed!

It's a great script yes, and it will be even greater ;)
