Do they have an automated expiration and delete option, or do they have to be manually deleted?

I'm thinking about going with a very inexpensive Pay Per Listing model but obviously, users aren't particularly good about deleting their outdated sale ads.

Hi,

It depends on what listing type you mean. Right now for example coupons is made such that listings are automatically taken off-line when they expire. Listings are not deleted though and can still be found and re-activated (or deleted permanently) from admin.

We plan to extend this to all types of listings very soon. We're also considering to implement an auto-deletion feature so that expired listings are automatically deleted from the database one month after expiry.

I like the idea of deleting listings but one thing to keep in mind is that depending on the site they may want listings to stay longer. For instance

here in the US some places have an average market time of 16 months on homes so a home being on the site for over a year isnt a bad thing...

Also for a site that only has say 5 new auto listings a month keeping them up longer would be benefical.

That being said I think it would be a good idea to incorporate an easy way for the site owner to determine the amount of time.

Cool cool. One of the things I like most about this script is that support/service via this forum seems to be very, very acessable.

I'm going to be purchasing one script to test run, but it's part of a larger development scheme that will encompass upwards of 10 interrelated sites, all pertaining to specific community areas in the city of Chicago. If the test-run goes well with those, the sky's the limit. I own several strong geo names (pure geo's in .com, .net, .org and .us, I/E prefixed geo.com's of major US cities, etc) that I own for purposes of exactly this type of development.

What is the price for unbranded versions of the script? I don't want to help any competitors drill into my well.

The unbranded add-on costs $49. The script license script is currently $149 (excl. optional installation $29) for the regular version or $179 for the multi-language version (incl. installation).
